Delineations that she performs do not require DNR concurrence, and there will be no delay in using the results of her work in state waterway and wetland decisions. Complex or very challenging sites may still require local inspection by DNR staff.

"Towards Harmony with Nature" was an all-day conference on natural landscapes and native plants where Alice Thompson spoke about "Wetland Appreciation and Restoration".

Alice Thompson was featured in the Wisconsin State Journal article: Science enlisted to see where turtles dare to roam. Thompson and Associates is coordinating the radio tracking of Blanding's turtles in city of Middleton wetlands.
